 The 6th Annual International OMGD Grand Chapitre in Belgium

Dear OMGD Member,

We had a successful International OMGD Grand Chapitre last September in charming Alcala de Henares and Ribera del Duero, Spain, and are now delighted to cordially invite you to participate in our next one. The 6th Annual International OMGD Grand Chapitre will take place on September 3rd – 7th, 2025 in and around astounding and beautiful Brussels, Belgium. 

The Kingdom of Belgium is a Western European country with a population of 11.8 million inhabitants, known for its medieval towns, renaissance architecture and as the home of the European Union and NATO headquarters. The country has distinctive regions including Dutch-speaking Flanders to the north, French-speaking Wallonia to the south and a German-speaking community to the east. The bilingual capital city Brussels is the capital city of Europe and also the most cosmopolitan.

During our eventful four-day program, we will be introduced to the history and production of Belgian wines and crafted beverages, including the very famous Belgian beers, aperitifs and digestives. We will be visiting a selected number of vineyards, breweries and distilleries, sampling the best and most intriguing of what Belgium has to offer the knowledgeable connoisseurs. We will also have an introduction to the cheese and chocolate delicacies that Belgium is highly regarded for.  This will be partnered and enjoyed with an array of exquisite culinary eats at famous dining venues including Michelin Star restaurants and equally partnered with the experience of Belgian hospitality.

On behalf of our worldwide President, Yam Atallah and the Conseil d’Administration, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our colleague member of the Conseil Magistral and Bailli Délégué of Belgium, Ilse Duponcheel and her national team members for hosting this year’s OMGD Grand Chapitre in their esteemed country, and for being instrumental in the preparation of this unique program.

The Belgian organization has curated in very short notice an exceptional event that offers an exclusive stay in carefully selected hotels, immersive visits to vineyards, and tastings of wines and other beverages that are emblematic of Belgium’s rich heritage.

Belgium holds a prominent place on the global culinary stage, renowned for its gastronomic excellence. With a deep-rooted tradition of fine dining, Belgium boasts a remarkable concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants, world-famous chocolates, artisanal beers, and an unparalleled appreciation for quality ingredients. Its culinary landscape blends tradition and innovation, making it a true paradise for food enthusiasts.

For this event, we have selected three hotels, each with its own distinctive style, all conveniently located near the city center. Each hotel offers nearby parking facilities for ease of access. 

When visiting the event page, you will find a detailed overview of all scheduled programs and dining opportunities. The dining experiences are exclusively hosted by Chaine members and range from cozy, traditional Belgian atmospheres to exquisite  fine dining.

For daytime excursions, we have arranged comfortable bus transportation. In the evenings, attendees can reach event venues either on foot or via taxi or Uber. For the OMGD Grand Chapitre we have organised also bus transportation
